never listened to either band, but depending on who that tba is, i may pull the trigger on this tour.
Dance Gavin Dance is one of those bands I should like on paper but I just can’t get into. They keep popping up on my Thrice and Underoath Spotify stations and I just can’t get into them.
sameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee they just don't do it for me for some reason. The only thing that I've remotely liked from them is their very first album with Shitstain Craig and even that I don't really listen to all that much. That being said I got a ticket because hello Underoath tour, I can put up with DGD for them
Seeing them tomorrow at a free show. Ready for a super standard set list but it will be wonderful nonetheless. @Larry David @The Mysterious you guys still going?
I caught a set of theirs basically for free because I was up in bangor Maine visiting a friend and we spent the day within earshot of mayhem fest.
This was all I listened to for a couple weeks when it came out but I genuinely don’t think I’ve put it on once since
I haven't either. Really pleased for them that they're back together and making the music that they want to make and writing the lyrics they want to write but I have no interest in listening to this album again.
Like ever? Lol seems silly. It’s a good album, productions great. Lyrics are eh, but it’s still fun. It’s not on the level of their other records but it’s still enjoyable
I think if the crowds would get over their distaste for change (or hear the album, I guess) a lot of of the new songs would be awesome live. Breaks my heart that It Has To Start Somewhere is met with silence.
I just never got into it. As I say, I'm really pleased for them - I'm certainly not going to criticise them for feeling like they're finally able to be honest and free to write the music they want to. I just don't like the record.
I genuinely am baffled by the number of people saying this is bad. How can so many people be so wrong?
Yeah it’s not to the level as their last three albums, but overall I like it a lot. Haven’t listened to it since the month it came out tho.
Yeah I've returned to a couple songs recently, but overall, this was a very forgettable album. At least Thrice is still putting out some quality stuff.
Agreed, pretty forgettable. It’s fine and I’ll enjoy it when I put it on once in a while, but that’s it.
I find this really ironic bc, and I say this as a casual thrice fan myself, imo they put out really good radio rock. I think Erase Me is way more creative than the last thrice record (which I do like it a lot!).
