Underoath – “Pneumonia”

That was good! Very straightforward but the buildup is great.

 

Can't wait until January, it's 3/3 so far for me.

 

Digging what I'm hearing so far. A big improvement from the last record. This one specifically sounds a little shogazi and I'm cool with that.

Duuuuuuude. That made my day! Thank you for sharing. I just got goosebumps listening to that. I’m so pumped for the new album!

 

It is absolutely bizarre to listen to a UO record as singles (I feel like they've always been a "listen to everything in the context of the record" sort of band), but BOY OH BOY am I loving these new songs. Happy to hear them so unconstrained.

 

I get the impression it isn't a hot take for me to say I've liked each of these singles more than anything from their return album.

 

I agree. I’m not used to hearing this much. But it’s incredible! Pneumonia might be one of my favorites from them ever.

 

I do agree, but there are some great tracks on Erase Me. Hold Your Breath, No Frame, Sink With You, and the deluxe had the Heart-Shaped Box cover!

 

I was definitely careful to say "liked" rather than "better", because I can appreciate there was were some good songs on that album, but for one reason or another nothing really resonated with me.
