good to hear on both accounts! I've been working a lot/prepping for my set tonight so I haven't had time to hear much new stuff this week but I took the day off tomorrow so I'm going to play catch up - will report back

already love the Harvey record but these other two are gems, gotta grab both records

DJDS and The Range tracks are all killer, v uplifting, v into it

 

both these tracks blew me away, might have a couple of new most anticipated albums

In response to the controversy today, this is an AWESOME thread of female/queer/nb DJs and producer from all walks of the dance music spectrum, I have a lot of digging to do

 

I saw some shit was going down with some DJ being a dickhead. What exactly happened?

 

The guy that heads up the Giegling and is one half of Kettenkarussell was talking to a reporter about how women don't have to try hard in the industry and are being propped up, insinuated that men are just inherently better at things and then made a bullshit apology saying the female reporter didn't understand his humor. Real shitshow. Some female DJ's have started saying that this isn't an isolated incident and that he has said these things directly to them, stories of him not wanting to be on the same bill as Helena Hauff and Aurora Halal...

I need to, I know she's a primary member of Discwoman which is the coolest collective - I don't listen to a lot of that loopy techno but I need to give it a shot. Gonna throw that and Laurel on the phone tmrw
