Man I'm really loving this Jacques Greene album

 

Same here. Probably my favorite dance/electronic album I've heard this year.

very literally the best music experience of my life thus far

 

Trying to go see Floating Points next Tuesday. Doors at 7 but I don't get outta class until 9. Hoping for a later set time for him, but it seems there's only one opener.

 

I'm guessing the whole thing will be wrapped by ten unfortunately, bet the jazz/classical tip stuff is all pretty early for a more mature demographic

Yeah, I was guessing the same. Unless he plays like a 1.5 hour set or something. May still pop in for an hour. Are you going/what's your next show(s)?

 

Wish I could but I was just down for Mall Grab on Saturday and getting to the city is pretty difficult for me financially so I keep it pretty sporadic (new job may allow me to get there far more often though)

At this point I wanna come down and see DJ Seinfeld in July, gonna see what else pops up though and I'll let you know if I'm coming for anything that might be of interest

 

I'm djing an afterparty at an all day house show (that I'm also running sound for) Saturday wahoo

 

Amazing man, it's a great feeling. I've got a couple sets line up in the coming months

 

holy shit yes, it's like Sophie doing house or something

 

I'm 10 min in and it's very good. I hadn't heard him before but I will immediately press play anytime Sophie's name is invoked.

 

I was maybe reaching a bit with that comparison but I'm glad you like it! His two EPs are among my recent favorited but this mix is decidedly more on the bombastic end, really cool that it's all originals and unreleased material in there too

 

I don't think it was too much of s reach. I fucking loved the Nelly sample in it. I grabbed the EPs to check soon.
