I like him in Good Time and think he was ok in Licorice Pizza, but Obi Wan was a little rough (but I'm sure he doesn't care because he got to be a Jedi)

 

Good Time is the exception. Licorice Pizza, Obi Wan, Are You There God? were rough.

 

He’s pretty incredible in Stars at Noon. His best performance imo.

 

I'm very very interested in Benny's upcoming show with Nathan Fielder

Benny already announced the movie he’s directing next. They are both going to keep directing.

I hope they’re as good apart as they were together

 

future movies will only feature half the anxiety of a full Safdie flick

He says there hasn’t been a falling out between the two but I feel like some of his wording suggest otherwise

 

Definitely agree. Sounded like he may have been cut out of the creation of the next movie a bit because he was focusing on acting, and there's tension there.

Buddy Duress passed away. He was so great in Good Time and the handful of things he popped up in. Really hoped we’d get to see more of him
