I still need to watch the first big Safdie film, i’m afraid to after seeing Uncut Gems

 

If you’re referring to Good Time, it’s a fantastic movie in its own right and you should absolutely watch it

 

It’s a better movie than uncut gems

 

Amending my recommendation - if you're craving more SAFDIE and you've already seen both GOOD TIME and UNCUT GEMS, only then should you check out FUNNY PAGES.

Excited for whatever they do next. Don't care at all about Sandler

I fuckin love Funny People

 

funny people is two-thirds of an incredible movie

 

Revisited Funny People a few months ago and everyone’s lied about it for 13 years. The whole thing is great. Amazing movie and we failed it by letting it bomb

 

Also funny pages is fucking hilarious

 

Funny People is good just needs 15 or so minutes trimmed.

 

The bits with the fake movies he made were great.

 

Wtf. I wonder if Benny is going to pursue more acting opportunities.

 

Yeah, Benny seems to be more interested in acting these days. A bit nervous about this

 

I think so, they did write it together but directing is obviously more involved

 

Really don’t think Benny is that great of an actor.
