This was more immediately enjoyable, but I definitely feel like the pacing and runtime of Good Time will lend it a little more replay value. Time will tell. Both great films, couldn't tell you which is better yet.
The “twist” in Good Time is one of the most unexpected and delightful things I’ve seen in a movie in years. Absolutely genius.
Saw Uncut Gems again last night with my parents. My mom who I thought would absolutely hate it, about halfway through said "I don't know why people think this is a good movie" but then at the end she said "I didn't love it, but I liked it. It was an interesting story." My dad, who rarely watches movies, said "I guess I liked it. There's no way you could fall asleep during it."
Free on Prime? Or did you have to pay extra? (I'm new to Prime...I noticed some stuff is free and some stuff you still have to rent/buy)
Free on Prime. A24 has an exclusive deal for streaming most of their content on prime. I think there's 2 apps (?) which makes it confusing. Should be able to see the items available for streaming.
I will say the scene in Good Time where Ray is recounting the events of his life after getting out of jail was (to me) one of the funniest things I've seen in a while
This is further evidence in support of my argument that the internet needs a website that publishes "average dad reviews" of any and all things.
I'll let my dad know that you all liked his review. Uncut Gems "couldn't sleep though it if you wanted to"
