"EARFQUAKE" also feels like a heartbroken R&B karaoke track and I love it for that. It's both a parody and completely sincere in every way.
I feel like this is a more abstract take on the direction he took with Flower Boy. It has an insular, shapeshifting vibe that makes records like Blonde, The OOZ, and even the new Solange record, very appealing to me. It's easy to get lost in. This is after one listen anyway
Solange is on three tracks here apparently! but the rumours of Frank Ocean and King Krule features weren't true
Tyler posted a full list of collaborators on the album on Insta and Frank isn't on the list. I'm certain that's just a pitched up Tyler singing on Running Out of Time.
yeah and genius still has the incorrect information as far as I know, I think people just really want Frank to be on the album haha
genius sucks because anyone can add contributors. I could say god was on a song and they probably believe it.
It sounds like a NERD album. Like I can imagine Pharrell vocals on here instead of Tyler and it would fit right in with their discography This is absolutely a compliment btw, NERD is one of my favorite musical acts ever (and one Tyler's all time favorite iirc)
would have to be one of if not the first time he’s collabed with someone and not had a vocal or guitar part on the track, no?
Yea I don’t hear Pablo at all, but I love this. And for the record it’s absolutely not better than Pablo.
