He's one of those guys for me who perfected his "thing" to such an extent on his breakthrough album that I've had trouble getting into anything he's made since. I really haven't gone back to any of his albums after Purgatory.

  4. I’m kind of right there with you but I have so much goodwill for that album that I continue to at least check in on the follow ups.

Also kind of excited by the rumor he’s finally officially releasing a bunch of old fan favorites on this one.

Would love a proper release of Messed Up Kid from the Somer Sessions.

I agree that Purgatory is his best, but I really liked Country Squire and then select songs after that.

I really like him in general so I’ll always be here for new music.

I wonder how much of this album will be proper studio versions of old songs -- Oneida, Snipe Hunt, Nose on the Grindstone. He's got so many good unreleased oldies I actually wouldn't mind if that's all it was

I always love a few songs on each album, but Purgatory was just a masterpiece. Agreed, though: I'll always check out his stuff after that.

Yeah Purgatory is obviously the best but there’s lots of good stuff on CS and the others. Also A Song While You’re Away is great.
