Lee Isaac Chung Says ‘Twisters’ Is a Road Movie… With Tornadoes 'Twisters' Interview: Director Lee Isaac Chung Talks Glenn Powell, Tornadoes
We had a fast moving severe thunderstorm last night that had potential for tornadoes, the marketing for this movie is insane
this is solid and an improvement over the first one, in no small part due to chung not caring about being beholden to that. glen powell steals it while the movie somehow maintains some of the amblin feel. i’d probably like it a bit more were it not for a few people behind me whispering to each other for almost half the movie
forgot to mention that if you have a-list/unlimited, it’s likely worth catching this in dolby the next several days before D&W take those screens over
Man, as a meteorologist and a storm chaser I was really impressed with this movie. There are so many easter eggs from the original Twister, so many great references to storm chasing that are very accurate, and really awesome representations of the storms. A few things were a little overdone but the storyline and the meteorology in this movie were insanely accurate and detailed. References to the capping inversion, low level cape, wind shear, etc. I was smiling the entire time. What a treat!
That rules. One of my friends that works at the University of Nebraska Lincoln knows one of consultants on it and said the crew and writers worked hard to make it somewhat accurate,
