Doing a re-watch of the Return finally. Went through the first four parts the other night. The beginning of part 3 is just surrealist heaven. Also, the woodsman in the jail cell never fails to freak me the hell out, it's so eerie

Watched Part 8 last night. I just picture David Lynch handing it over to the Showtime execs with a straight face and them being like "yeahhhhhh....."

Man I miss this show. Just thinking, did the Roadhouse performances get anybody into any of those artists? I definitely discovered Sharon Van Etten due to The Return.

 

I knew of chromatics before but have been obsessed ever since. I’ll never forget finishing the first two hours super late that night and sitting in awe as they played Shadow during the credits.

Definitely got into cactus blossoms and au revoir Simone because of the show too.

 

That album by The Veils is decent

 

I have a lot of those songs on my phone.

 

The show got me back into Sky Ferreira... lol
