Some really phenomenal stuff this episode, first half moved so quickly. Sarah Palmer scene was nuts, she continues to be the MVP of the past few episodes.
Man I'm dumb, I didn't even really make that connection lol. You're probably right though. All this time I thought her behavior was just due to her being traumatized by everything that her family went through but this sounds totally plausible too. Really like how Andy was the one who got transported into the White Lodge(?) too, and seemed to understand everything he was shown. Loved how Lucy was so nonchalant about the eyeless woman who speaks in unearthly chirps and was just wrapping her in a bathrobe haha.
Can I get a gif of Gordon reacting to the window washer but have him reacting to James at the Roadhouse?
Finally saw ep 1 yesterday via ATT On Demand at my parents place. Went to watch ep 2 and the file was fucked up. It kept starting at the end and not letting me rewind to any other spot. I was beyond pissed. Did anyone else have this problem? Episode 1 was amazing.
Does anyone remember all the weird shit Sarah did in the original series? She has deep ties to the Lodges and its inhabitants, similar to Log Lady and Carl. She frequently witnessed the pale horse and BOB in her own home. There is also a moment near the end of the original series in which she acts as a medium from the Black Lodge and literally tells Major Briggs, "I'm in the Black Lodge with Dale Cooper. I'm waiting for you" which you can watch here. I'm thinking that maybe over the years she's somehow gained an understanding or some control over these spiritual abilities? Just thinking out loud here
Definitely plausible... I'm very interested in seeing how everything will connect. What a fantastic episode. I also found it phenomenal when they tied in that Phillip Jeffries scene from FWWM. It made little sense to me in its original context and it totally blew me away upon rewatching it through Gordon's dream.
Maybe a dumb question but where are people getting that the white woman from episode 8 is called Mother?
I thought I remember it being Experiment in the credits. Guess I'll have to go back and watch it again.
