  5. okay this is for 3+4: okay so 1+2 were more *exciting* but 3+4 felt more familiar. still very different, but having those long scenes with Gordon and Albert (RIP Miguel :verysad:) was kind of surreal. Also I fucking knew Cera was gonna be that character. I'm loving all of it.

Okay. I'd assume it's not just all nonsense, but watching the recap video didn't really seem to create cohesion for me. Can I just jump into S3 as is, or should I really go back and watch it all from the beginning? I guess I'm just wondering if investing 30+ hours will really help me understand everything in the long run better.

I mean if you don't remember anything from the original series then I would definitely suggest rewatching. It's a fantastic world to get lost in, especially if you're netflix binging. I still haven't seen the new episodes yet because I don't have Showtime and I'm still rewatching with my girlfriend (she's never finished the series before) and I'm excited to finish already, but I'm also in no rush at all because it's so great

I've watched the first fifteen minutes of episode 3 and I'm completely clueless.

Watched 1 and 2 last night and then 3 and 4 didn't go up on demand until 2am for me, so watching those later. Was completely blown away by 1 and 2 though. So many mysteries to delve into!

episode three is one of the most Lynchian things I have ever seen.

I've never seen the original series. I started it a couple of months ago in anticipation of S3, and only got through 6-7 episodes before fizzling out. I was going to pick up from there, but since I didn't get sucked into it originally, I thought maybe I'd just watch the recap video and then go onto S3. So, I watched the recap and felt like it made very little sense. I'm thinking I'll just pick up where I left off (or maybe even start from episode 1 again)

The thing is only a recap. It's for people who have watched the show to remind them what happened. You need to actually watch the show and the movie to understand it all for sure.

Yeah, I get that. I'm sure it more complex than can be condensed down to like 3% of it's original size.

FWIW I watched the original <1 year ago and had little to no idea what happened last night and would have been disappointed otherwise

In my opinion, the really amazing stuff comes AFTER season 1.

I need to just power through it all. Just so much stuff to watch that I kinda pushed it aside, but I'm gonna change that soon.

Honestly can't stop thinking about the premiere and I still have to watch 3/4. The fact Twin Peaks is back and is exponentially weirder than ever makes me so, so happy.

    Spoilers for episodes 3 & 4

Gordon Cole is a treasure. When he sees the footage and goes, "....what the hell?!" I lost it. That chocolate bunny scene was equally hilarious. Then, that scene with Bobby seeing the picture of Laura Palmer really got to me. I know it's fictional but the town of Twin Peaks seems like it's in such a sad state of disarray :(
