ive seen the first season and through to the reveal in s2. just would like to do all of it this time since they're going to cover the return
Oh boy. You’re in for a treat with the end of s2, FWWM, and The Return. The Return is the best thing I’ve seen on television and I’ll probably always feel that way. Very very little has come close.
oh wow, idk how any of them will be able to top blue velvet for me. pretty much an instant top 5er for me
really need to see Wild at Heart but have no idea where I can watch it. Blue Velvet is amazing. if you haven't seen The Straight Story, FWWM, Mulholland Drive, and Inland Empire, all those are top tier. Lost Highway is great too
i was able to find Shout Factory's Blu-ray at a Vintage Stock for $5 about a year ago. idk if there are any digital vendors, but i don't believe it's streaming.
blue velvet is my 2nd favorite so far but I loved wild at heart I lucked out and my buddy had it on Blu-ray. I’m watching them in order so I’ll see them all eventually. Excited for mulholland drive because I know that’s a lot of people’s favorite but my same buddy that lent me the blu ray doesn’t like it.
Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire are films you absolutely need to watch more than once. really, all of his work is like that where more dots connect upon rewatching but especially those films. I would totally understand someone saying they didn't like those two on their first watch and then realizing the brilliance on the second time around.
fucking sucks Wild at Heart isn't on digital. I don't have a way to watch blu-ray so I'm out of luck. that and Dune are the only ones I haven't seen
lost highway has an outsized cultural space in my head bc the NIN soundtrack was so iconic, i didn’t realize the movie isn’t thought of that highly
I need to see that one again too. I remember enjoying it but thinking it felt like a transitional movie for Lynch and feels like a precursor for ideas he’d eventually flesh out. In a similar vein, The Return feels like a capstone encompassing everything he’s created
Just checked and the indie theatre in town is showing Mulholand Dr this month. Got my tickets super stoked. I was just thinking about Lost Hightway yesterday and realised its the Lynch film I think about most. Its top 3 for me becoming more and more upset I missed getting tickets for it last month
For some reason this show has been on my mind lately, despite ever only watching it fully through once (including FWWM) Louise Dombrowski dancing on the hook rug lives rent free in my head.
Lost Highway is probably in my top 3 for him. Its pretty close between that, Blue Velvet and Eraserhead.
