Havent seen IE and a handful others—The Straight Story, Dune, or Wild at Heart. Though i plan to soon. Eraserhead is one of my all time faves, as is Blue Velvet. Elephant Man is heartbreakingly beautiful and i liked Mulhoulland Drive tho i need to watch it again. Btw anyone know any Lynchian films that arent directed by him but have that same dreamlike vibe? I recently watched Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, which was unforgettably beautiful and reaches that same level of quality surrealism.
Nah the craziest thing is that in like 4-5 eps into s2, Cooper says that he’s been in Twin Peaks only 12 days
each episode is clearly marked out as taking place over a single day until about when Leland is revealed as the killer, after that it kind of falls away but in S1 especially it's a cool little detail
It’s just funny to consider how it’s this ostensibly pristine tiny mountain town where nothing much happens, and then in the span of two weeks there are multiple murders/attempted murders and the town’s primary industry gets completely destroyed lol
Agreed, incredible range. about to get to the sluggish part of S2, I hope I don’t lose interest before I finish everything, even if the end goal is more of a FWWM and S3 rewatch.
Hey I'm in the exact same position as you, we can do it lol!! I'm on s2 ep 12 now and 'Its really much better than I remember, the James part is def a drag but none of the scenes have gone on that long and super strength Nadine makes up for it
I also think his theory is incredibly convincing, personally. After having watched over 6 hours of him talking about Twin Peaks I think he’s more than made his case.
