As someone who loves the first album but never really got into the next two, I love this. Honestly surprised they went in this direction. Don’t think the album will do that well but excited to have it for the summer.
Hopefully between the live stream and the billboard awards tonight, they’ll get some good attention with this release. I’m not sure how well the singles have been performing though. Saturday *could * be huge for them
I loved Blurryface when it came out, but I never listened to them much outside of that. Gave this a spin and I'm LOVING it. Early favorite is Never Take It.
I know a lot of people are saying how much of a sharp contract this is to Trench but I...don't see it. To me, it kind of feels like a Trench-Lite.
99% sure a tour announcement is coming tomorrow. At the very least they’re getting announced for Circuit of the Americas in Austin for October, and the event organizers kind of leaked that it was because the band was waiting to announce the whole tour.
I was underwhelmed after my first listen after really liking the direction they went with Trench. But this has grown on me immensely with each listen. Great summer album.
All the "great summer album" comments got me wondering if it isn't working for me because its winter here.
I think the song I like the least on here is “Choker”. It stood out to me today on a few listens as being the ‘slowest’ of the tracks and idk it just stood out today as not really gelling with the rest. Still a good song but just didn’t seem to fit for me, but that is just today I sensed that and not at all the previous week of listens. harder for me is to choose a favorite but I think it would have to be “Mulberry Street”. That song is just so fun.
I didn’t like Choker or Saturday when they were initially released but I’ve come around on both and really like them now. The Outside is probably my favorite on here. I can’t think of a least favorite because they all slap.
