Wow I wish I had a Costco near me haha. I bought a 2 year geek squad protection plan that expires in 6 months
Yeah it's the main reason I go through them. Also it isn't any extra. It was included with the price of my TV. So I will always rep Costco for that at least. Especially after I had bought a 75" Vizio that crapped out on me after a year and a half. (From Best Buy)
Yeah my dad got 2 LG B-series OLEDs for his house and went through Costco, glad he did! Man, if this recent LG update does fuck up my C2, I hope it happens within the next few months and cross my fingers Best Buy gives me a C3 or C4 for free haha
We just finally got a Costco like ~80 minutes from me last year and I'm kind of glad our house build ended up taking way longer than anticipated, because now we'll (hopefully) be able to get most/all of our appliances there.
I got my couch there, my tv stand that my tv is mounted above. One of my mattresses. I love Costco haha. Especially for bigger purchases.. My golf clubs..
Lmao, why are they getting C4's? That's crazy. I should have gone 77" but went 65" with my X I did talk my dad into a 77" on the C1 tho haha
The speculation is that they’re out of C3s and rather than order more (if they can even get them) they’re avoiding LG’s minimum pricing rules by listing the C3 and then delivering overstock of the 4 through official authorized channels like Walmart, etc. and making room for the new models. The people getting upgrades, from what I’ve seen, are mostly buying indirectly from BeachCamera/BuyDig. I’m sure they’re assuming no one will make a fuss and I’m guessing they’re right, haha.
I have nothing to add really other than I wanted to share that I got a 65" C4 last month and it's almost comical how much more impressive the OLED is compared to my old QLED. It fixes essentially all of my previous gripes. That being said, the HDMI-CEC/Simplink is still being a pain switching to the Apple TV reliably on startup. Someday I'll figure out why.
PS5 and HDMI CEC has so many problems on my LG C2 that I disabled it. It's annoying how connecting to Remote Play automatically turns the TV screen on, or sometimes the TV just seemingly decides to turn my PS5 on whenever it feels like it
I have a Vizio M-Series Quantum that I'm still hanging onto until I can upgrade, but regarding CEC I'm so frustrated that the Xbox Series X doesn't work with my receiver, even when I updated the device control settings, however the Xbox One worked perfectly fine. Makes no sense!

People are having luck price matching through Best Buy, but honestly, I’ve bought from Brand Smart and they were great. Works on the 77” G3/G4, too. $2799: Buy top brand TVs, Home Appliances, Washers, Dryers & more | BrandsMartUSA
Welp, unfortunately I think I am taking the 65” TV out of consideration. After mulling it over, I would have to place it next to my couch, which just doesn’t make any sense. The wall across from my couch juts out (see photo below) and is 45” across. I am now trying to decide between the 48” C4, which is just over 42” wide so a more or less perfect fit, or the 55” C4 which is just over 48” and would extend beyond the wall about an inch and a half on either side. I’m having trouble determining if the latter would be goofy and/or irritating. The plus side is that I’ll have leftover money I can put toward a soundbar.
Roughly the same if not a little smaller The wall to the right of my couch is perfect for a 65” tv but I realized even if I wanted to do that I would have to push my couch a little to the left and then it would basically block part of the kitchen access lol. Love my new apartner but it’s a pretty unfortunate layout for my big TV dreams haha. That said, the viewing distance is going to be pretty tight, maybe 7-8 feet if that, so a 55” and maybe even a 48” will probably feel better than the 55” I had in my old place.
I see. I love rearranging and trying to get the best fit. It took a while at my house to get my living room just right, so I totally get it. definitely will need another photo of the finished setup
Damn, that's definitely a tough setup. I would always air toward the side of "as big as will reasonably fit in the space", so my vote would be the 55", even if there's some bleeding over, but I see why you'd consider smaller. From a cost standpoint, you're definitely more likely to get a deal on a 55" than the 48". The smallest two (42" and 48") and largest (83") seem to be the least reasonably priced.
You should be ok with an inch on either side. That’s what I did with the same initial reservations and it has not been an issue. As long as it’s centered and you aren’t further out on one side than the other it hasn’t bothered me in a year and a half
The landlord didn’t outright say I can’t mount a tv, but she was a bit skeptical and just knowing how the walls in the living room are, it’d probably require extra work that I do not want to pay for. I think I’m going to go with the 55” although I’m not ruling the 48” out either. I’m going to be sitting pretty close to the TV anyway. I’ll take some measurements tonight and hopefully reach a decision. Now I need to decide on a table to put it on..unfortunately, it’ll probably have to be smaller than the TV, so hopefully that doesn’t look too bad. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
