this one wasnt ABC but, yeah, that period where every network was just greenlighting any and all mystery scifi shows to try and be the next LOST was my entire bag lol

 

"Six seasons and a movie!"

 

Not great Bob!

 

It’s a shame about Lone Star. Show was damn good and had serious potential.

What I most remember about the ABC Invasion series was the now very creepy romantic relationship they were developing between an adult cop and an underage teenager.

 

I like when ABC tried to have it both ways with “Sexy Doctors Island.”

 

Fox had so many sitcoms, but I remember as a kid thinking this was so dumb.

 

Insane.

 

So this show actually had an insanely good pilot where it was mysterious and intriguing, but then they added this weird visual effect to show the transition between the two plots, and it got so corny. I remember it being hyped up as a great new show, but people were confused and whined, and then it get dumbed down.

For a while as alluded to, shows with a hook were just being greenlit and rushed to series, regardless of how well developed the plot was. Half of them failed as I'm convinced that most of mysteries never had answers, they just wanted viewers till it tanked and onto the next.
