Nowhere even near my eoty list tbh. But yeah, still have lots of love for the band. Just didn’t care much to return to this one
I think it's about even with Glow On aka it's a great album overall but also contains a couple too many songs I find just there, especially at the very end. So I don't think it'll end up in my top 20 after all. Still prefer Time & Place to both too.
my Blu-ray was supposed to be delivered today, but stalled out at our post office around 2:30 AM (they're probably backed up with Christmas around the corner). i'm assuming i'll have it in hand tomorrow
I've enjoyed this record a bunch since release and it'll for sure end up on my eoty list. Still not on the same level as their other records for me.
It's a solid top 50 record of the year for me of the roughly 50 new records I've probably listened to this year.
It's a small detail, but the way Brendan sings the part in MAGIC MAN where he takes a sharp turn into the lower vocal range (Never be afraid, just remember what he said when you goOoo) always list feels so cool and unique
Love the album, definitely top 5 for me this year, although I admit that I find myself skipping a few tracks and some of the more ambient sections.
Nonstop Feeling is probably still my favorite record of theirs, but that's probably just because it reminds me of summer 2015 lol. I think they've become a better rock band with each album so far.
Absolutely my AOTY. Big part of that is how much my kids have connected with it. I missed their show in Minneapolis and have been kicking myself ever since. If/when they announce any non-festival tour dates for 2026, we will go. I don’t care if we have to drive 10 hours.
I fell off this record pretty hard a week or two after it was released and hadn’t listened to it since, decided to give it another couple of spins now that it’s summer here and it’s finally really hitting for me.
I think the truth is that it’s a good record. It’s not Glow On which I would consider great, but it makes their sound very accessible and easy to listen too. It does the job it needs to but it’s earth shattering.
