Nice article on Turnstile via Billboard: Turnstile Reinvents Touring: How They Scaled Up Without Selling Out
It kinda goes into the logistics of how in as many cities as they could they set up stages in non traditional areas to accommodate for large crowds without playing large seated venues
I really struggle with whether never enough is good...enough? I have often wondered how much of the success of this record is just turnstile mania and people getting swept up in all the success of this band. Don't get me wrong I am a fan of the band and I have listened to this album a ton and it was one of my top listened to albums on wrapped. But I still can't decipher if I like it. You have your paint by numbers turnstile on a few songs and some interesting songs like never enough and I care, but nothing seems to be ground breaking that isn't potentially done better on previous albums. Am I crazy or has anyone else had turnstile dysmorphia?
This album is certainly good enough for me. I try to keep my expectations grounded, and I did not expect them to top their last one. Especially with nonstop touring and losing a key member. I like this as a companion album to Glow On. There is plenty on here to enjoy that sounds fresh in my opinion, and Look Out For Me is my personal song of the year.
Haven't really gone back to it. Still love the band and everything they represent just don't reach for this one really
