Lol it'd be just for fun. I still love the album experience of Never Enough as is, but sometimes you just want the short version when you're on the go
I am usually not a purist when it comes to tracklisting and interludes, but it's clear SO MUCH work and thought when into these I'd feel bad if I were to skip them.
I haven't seen the movie yet but the general consensus seems to be that the interludes make a lot more sense in that context.
They 100% do. If I hadn't seen the movie first, I think I'd be even more lukewarm on the record, tbh.
While I would give my left nut to see Title Fight live I heard they got a hefty six figure offer from a festival for one show like a year ago and they turned it down. I really don't see them coming back since Ned seems happy in Glitterer.
Honestly if I could time my run to where this is the soundtrack to my last quarter mile that'd work perfectly. I used to always end my runs with Set Your Goals - Gaia Bleeds because of how well it pumped me up and matched my running cadence.
There are times where I want to listen to the whole album, but sometimes I'm strapped for time and just want to hit the high points, or like I mentioned before, workout playlists, or just playlists in general.
I've been saying for a while that Turnstile is the coolest band on the planet. I think I figured out my main problem with the interludes. We get Sunshower with an extended outro, then Look Out For Me (I keep wanting to call this one "Don't Reach For Me" lol) with an extended outro, then Ceiling, which is basically an interlude. I think Sunshower and Look Out For Me are two of the best songs on here but placing them in that sequence gives you about 5 minutes of interlude for 5 minutes of "normal" songs. This is really nitpick-y, I love this band, and I love this album a ton.
I respect the idea and am impressed with the execution as a visual album. I just don't think it works as well as a fully auditory piece for me, personally. I kind hope they incorporate some sort of visual aspect to the live performance.
Was initially pretty underwhelmed by this, but it has definitely grown on me. I agree that some of the interludes are unnecessary, but they ultimately don’t bother me and some of them I actively like a lot. LOOK OUT FOR ME is probably my favorite song here. That main riff reminds me of The Offspring for some reason.
what an unexpected but welcome reminder that set your goals exists. have to go and relisten to that record now
