In one of his weekly track roundup videos, he said he liked the outro to "Look Out for Me" and says "Never Enough" (the song) is boring. GTFO
Also, I've been listening to Diamond Youth for over a decade. Just recently found out Brendan and Daniel were in the band. Small world!
The problem is his review hates on the outro for Look Out For Me, talking about how it sounds like something playing in the dressing room of an H&M or something
Throwing this album on immediately after finishing Paramore's "This Is Why" has only cemented my belief that what the people need is a Paramore/Turnstile co-headliner
I’m surprised so many people don’t like the song Never Enough, idk I fucking love it, it makes me want to run through a brick wall
when did you get into the band? Seems to be an almost "generational divide" kind of thing happening here.
Seconded. Album is damn near perfect to me. Wish the songs flowed into each other a little more intentionally to make more use of the ambiance, but still a perfect long drive record.
The only things I would change are cut down the interlude at the end of never enough a little bit and take out the flute interlude at the end of sunshower. It’s cool but doesn’t really fit and feels the most unnecessary of the interludes.
The Sunshower one really annoys me because I want to add that song to a running playlist but having to skip the second half of the song every time it comes out would be annoying, haha.
I have music editing software on my computer. I almost wanna make my own "no interludes" / each song on its own version of the album lol
I mean, I think I listened to The Hotelier's Goodness all the way through with the spoken word interludes, like, once, and just created a playlist without them and listened that way the rest of the time. I know it isn't the artist's vision to do it that way, but I'll never hate on someone who wants to do it that way.
