Floral Green might be a perfect record, think Leaf is my fav but its hard to pick when they're all 10s. Admittedly didnt care for them much before that came out.
As much as I love Floral Green I think the The Last Thing You Forget compilation will always be my favorite Title Fight release.
Numb, But I Still Feel It is probably my favourite, but Like A Ritual and Secret Society run it close. What a fucking band.
I’m a big time Hyperview apologist, and after hearing how much the band likes Title Fight, I’m guessing we don’t get a song like Underwater Boi without that albums influence.
Turnstile hits #9 in Billboard Top 200 Roadrunner rock band Turnstile, which has been turning heads on the festival circuit, scores an impressive Top 10 premiere with about 37k, which we’re told is a career high. THA CHART FINAL: MORGAN ABIDES, DEBUTS ABOUND
This was excellent. I've only listened to this new one and Glow On a couple of times before watching them, but a couple of songs in, I turned to my mate and said "you when you see a band live after only listening to them a few times and the show turns you into a proper fan? This set is doing that". And considering I had only heard them a couple of times, I was surprised at how much I recognised. They've got some real earworms, huh? Plus they felt really at home as a headliner. Had the audience lapping it up, singing along to every song. Had a weird proud moment, which is very odd considering I know next to nothing about them and literally started listening to them under a month ago haha
Also, was away from this thread The last week, but saw this right when I got to Times Square earlier this week
stuck in cleveland grading ap exams this week and going to the bar every night and putting songs from this album on the jukebox. my only source of joy
This is pretty good but mildly disappointing after sitting w it for a week. I don’t feel like the hooks are as prevalent as on GO and I like the sound design but find the outros to be pretty unnecessary in most cases. (Ironically, I think the longest one - LOOK OUT FOR ME - is the most effective by far, fantastic song all around.) It’s definitely a good record but I’m not sure it’s a great one. And not because they “abandoned hardcore” or “made glow on 2”, but just because the songwriting isn’t as tight as on the last two records imo.
