  1. Didn't hit me like GLOW ON did tbh. I think dancier parts are way better done on that one. Not bad at all but very much feels like a direct but not as good continuation of the last one

    time is happening…..

idk I think the vocal production on CEILING is stupid and fun. Like go off, King, use autotune like it's 2009

After two listens, Time & Space will be the magnum opus for me, but this one has some good moments. The interludes drag on a lot at times for my attention, but there's some great songs on here. Will probably be in my EOTY list, but ain't gonna be top.

  10. agreed. feels unfinished though.

  11. I dunno how I feel about this. I think the cultural impact came with Glow On because it was a new sound for them and it was a breath of fresh air, etc. But this album kinda just feels like more of the same, for better or worse. I'll be interested to hear how people feel about it in a couple months after the initial excitement kinda slows down. Maybe it'll blow up even bigger than Glow On, who knows.

  12. Two listens in and for me the heavy parts aren't long enough and the interludes and slower parts are a bit too long. I think Glow On struck a better balance, but I still really enjoyed this.

For me, there’s a depth that brings in cinematic, anthemic vibes in a way glow on didn’t. Felt it on the release of never enough as a single and the birds intro and it’s everywhere on this record. Too early to tell, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this surpasses Glow On for me. Hard to think of a more consistent band that keeps incrementally building while not losing their heart and souls through the process.

I think this sums up how I feel, particularly with Sunshower. Still really happy with the album and will need a few more listens to see where it sits. They’re 4/4 in my book though, 5/5 if you count Step 2 Rhythm.

This is a lot of fun for the most part.
Not as good as GLOW ON but wasn’t expecting it to be based on pre release tracks

I think this sums it up for me, glow on was a Gamechanger, an era definer. This is good, but is more of the same but lesser than.

bummed to hear the sound wasn’t great at the theaters for folks. I was at a cinemark and it sounded amazing. I was shocked. lol song 2 no one knew what to do because you want to break stuff and we’re all politely sitting in recliners. Whenever there was a break people clapped, and when they brought the hardcore or punk spirit people were shouting.
