the actual songs are good and they kinda bring more riffs than even what’s on glow on. the interlude parts of every song are annoying and they do way too many of them and it does feel a little samey. interested to see what the reception will be. i’m guessing it makes the umbrella of fans bigger but loses a portion of the old fans entirely
This rules, simple as that. Band deserves to continue to explode. That 2017 tour opening for TSSF in 500 cap rooms jumps to the top of my “saw them before they blew up” list.
Oh yeah, very much a rip off of the sweet leaf riff but I still think its one of the best tracks on here
it's like the exact same riff yikes I hope they credited Sabbath, otherwise they might have a lawsuit coming
the lead guitar playing serves the songs. the solos across this are some of my favorite moments upon first listen. they could easily muddy these riffs with a 2nd part going on but never do. tldr: the riffs be riffing, and the leads be leading edit: it's now making perfect sense why a publication referenced Nirvana's Nevermind. very much in that vein.
Oh I audibly screamed OH MY GOD when she came out. I saw her side stage when I saw these guys back in Nashville when Time & Space came out. She's a ride or die. I might have also been under the influence of a herbal substance....
This reminds me someone in the tour prediction thread mentioned that drug church are going to be going on a big tour soon, could this be it?
Agreed. I remember seeing them in a small room at Spring Fling in Cleveland in 2015 to like 30-50* people. Still a wild set and had a great time. *It could have been more. I'm awful at estimating crowd sizes haha
Love all the songs but some of them just meander for way too long at the end for me. Works great for the movie version of this but loses me a bit on a regular listen. Most of them could be completely cut out and I'd be fine. Would love shorter 'single' versions of songs like Never Enough, Sunshower, Look Out For Me.
im glad they finally answered the question of “what happens when Strymon pedals get introduced to hardcore music”
