Absolutely loving this, kinda funny I think my two favorite albums so far this year are this and Get Sunk by Matt Berninger....total opposite ends of the spectrum lol

 

LOVE sole. never enough and i care arent doing much for me though. first listen.

 

Awesome show last night but first for me in that my phone got pickpocketed while leaving.

 

I think Never Enough is my least favorite full band song here by a large margin

 

I like this overall... but Glow On is light years ahead for me.

showing my age but there are moments on here that make me nostalgic for Tumblr because I know that a graphic that's just a landscape photo and a shitty handwriting font with the lyrics "AND THIS IS WHERE I WANNA BE BUT I CAN'T FEEL A FUCKIN THING" would do NUMBERS

Urghh that sucks sorry man! That's my biggest fear at GA shows, my hands just stay buried in my front pockets

 

Yeah, I was trying to maneuver out of the crowd and someone must have grabbed it out my front pocket. Sucks that it's now something we have to be continuously aware of nowadays.

 

love the sounds and arrangements they're experimenting with here. really feels like a level up creatively. the album format is alive and well.

highlights:
the lead guitar parts across the entire album are so intentionally done
brendan's voice sounds AMAZING
daniel fang's drumming is a force

turnstile is a band acutely aware of what they're capable of, and they delivered. it's insane to think this band can make me run through a brick wall or cry my eyes out in the car.

 

I get some of the comments about some riffs/melodies sounding too reminiscent to other songs but they execute everything so well and incorporate plenty of new sounds that I really don’t care. Thrilled for these guys.

 

definitely could do without the little ambient tails on seemingly every song for thirty seconds come on

 

Setlist was damn near perfect and I can't complain about getting 7 -> Keep It Moving in the year of our lord and savior 2025 but man I would have loved to hear Generator.

Anyway, Sole -> I Care -> Dreaming is a generational run through.

 

What do you mean by the lead guitar is "so intentionally done"

When the horns kicked in on Dreaming in the theater last night I wanted to run through a wall.

I like this so much more than Glow On.
