Show was unbelievable. Still processing everything haha. They had to stop the show for about 20-30 minutes because stagedivers knocked the speakers over and they had to fix them by taking them all apart and restacking/rewiring everything. Then it appeared police were gonna shut it down at the end but thankfully it ended without any issues.
Raised money for Healthcare for the Homeless AND organized a pick up after the show because it’s a public park. The best of the best. Look at the joy on all their faces in the clip. The band and the audience, just being people, singing together. That’s the best the scene and music can offer. Fuck. It makes me cry a little.
https://www.stereogum.com/2307550/w...or-the-first-time-at-free-hometown-show/news/ lots of videos from the show here
Twenty years ago, I’d be in that crowd fighting for my life, and now I sit back and am happy to watch this video and think “Holy shit, I am so washed.”
There are some little kids doing dives at 33:20 that made me legit stand up off my couch and do the fucking Rudy clap
Damn this set is rad. Having the video footage as a teaser rips. All the new songs crushed. Franz smiling into the camera and singing the intro part to never enough and pat two stepping during the real thing and daniel doing the birds intro traditional style was peak stuff.
Something about this just scratches the right itch These guys are headed to the top (already on the way) with cool stuff like this.
THIS IS WISHFUL THINKING ON MY PART but if, the worlds largest if, we’re going to get a Title Fight reunion it will be at a Turnstile park show.
Title Fight probably would play Wilkes-Barre or Philly on a headliner before doing anything with another band.
Yeah never getting my hopes up for that but I get it. I'd give an arm and a leg for tickets to that hypothetical show. Also would be cool since the last TF show was with Turnstile back in '18.
I loved the singles when they dropped, but they are getting better to me. There’s an anthemic “big” feeling I am getting from Never Enough and Birds. Seein’ Stars is awesome but I think it will better in the flow of an album rather than a one off single. I think everyone felt the Mystery, Never Enough similar sounds, but the more I sit with Never Enough the more I see them as setting different tones for these two records. So excited for this record.
