Biggest failure on Glow On was not capitalizing on the melodic motifs of no surprise for a banger track it could flow directly into. the way it cuts off is such a fucking buzz kill
the only complaint I have about Glow On is that the intro to Wild World goes so incredibly hard and I feel like the song (only slightly) doesn't live up to the intro
Wouldn’t be surprised if they do a free ticketed show, which could open up Zika, but that may not be the move. Must be interesting for them to iron out being too big to play anywhere in Baltimore other than CFG
I suppose Merriweather could technically be considered “Baltimore”? My Patterson Park comment earlier was more of a joke but thinking about it longer, they could possibly do a free show at Carroll Park, where The Shindig was held for a few years
They can perform under the flag at Fed Hill Park so you can stage dive down the hill Merriweather does have a 5k outdoor stage that they have started doing normal shows at. Nats Park also plans to host shows in the outfield concourse, 4-5k from what I’ve seen, could be a neat fit too for something DC-oriented after some Baltimore stuff.
Trying to think of a band that could play Warped Tour, Camp Flog Gnaw, Coachella, After Shock, Outbreak, Rolling Loud, Sick New World. They can play with anyone at any show and fit in, it’s remarkable.
According to my Last.fm stats, I've listened to it 23 times already. no regrets. I love it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think Turnstile is the most effortless band I listen to. Something about them makes it seem like all their music came together in an afternoon or something.
