I did as well until Knocked Loose had the Poppy collab, now I know who they are these two are absolutely the same band
THE TRANSITION CUT-OFF WITH THE DRUMS AAAAAAHHHH DON'T FUCKING DO THAT YOU TEASING BASTARDS Song rules, holy shit I did not expect this as a lead single
The glazing I’ve seen on social media for this track is next level. It’s literally Glow On but slower - the song lol I don’t hate it but it left me a little underwhelmed. I think if they released the first two tracks - it would have gone down even better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My excitement is definitely more around being stoked that it's happening, and not because of the quality of this one song. It sounds like a fitting opener for them, and a continuation of Glow On, which I'm totally cool with.
I just hope that they continue to push themselves into new territory like they did with Glow On and like they did before that on Time & Space. This is obviously just the opener and I feel pretty confident that the next track absolutely goes off.. but I am curious to see if the next song sounds just like a TLC to me after what was teased lol. Regardless, I’m excited for the record but not nearly as excited as when I heard Holiday for the first time.
I think it works as a promo single. Reminds people of what they liked about Turnstile from a few years ago, teases something perhaps a bit more energetic and expected. I am buying any shares of Turnstile, lol
Finally new music from them after this long wait…and it sounds the same? It’s a cool track but wish we got something a bit more different than the last record.
Didn't pick up on this myself, but very cool nod to Hendrix at the end of the vid: https://www.reddit.com/r/turnstile/...=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
That happened a looooooong time ago (a few months after Glow On released I think) and from everything I've read, it was deserved, and potentially a tough situation.
I don't know if my memory is off but I feel like the first track they released from Glow On had slightly polarizing reactions as well. I'm sure we're in for a ride with the rest of the record again
I don’t remember seeing any reasoning for why he was booted. Could you point me to the direction of where it was mentioned? I always felt bad for him because he’s a founding member and to be kicked out just as the band is ramping up big time after putting a decade into it is brutal (unless much deserved).
I don't want to put out too much hearsay, but I know drug abuse was involved (if I remember correctly he was selling valuable Turnstile stuff with paraphernalia in the background of the pics) and there were restraining orders being thrown around between him and the remaining members.
