i mean a pop-punk band with lyrics where the writer is the "good-guy" and all girls who reject me are bad? I mean the lead singer got frustrated and kicked a girl off the stage when she was trying to stage dive. but this was also a time when people were getting up on stage hoping to capture the moment on their own camera. Completely wrong but that adds some context.
I just read the wildest article about this and was mind blown by how much worse it was than I even remembered until I realized it was a Hard Times article lol
Turnstile became one of my favorite bands last year. So stoked to see them with Blink. They have to be exhausted from all this touring by now.
The Story So Far is randomly the biggest band I saw with a tiny crowd. 2011 at a VFW hall in Glastonbury, CT with not much more than 100 kids. They weren't problematic then afaik so I think I'm okay to brag about that
I mean if we want to nitpick they had already released "Daughters" and "Mt Diablo" which are songs people tend to point towards.
And blink took out A Day To Remember, All Time Low, Neck Deep, Four Year Strong on their three major Skiba tours so unfortunately it seems to be business as usual
No doubt, it sucks shit. I'm more pointing out that we aren't "nitpicking" about lyrics, dude is bringing a rapist that faced 0 consequences out on tour with him every night.
Criticizing Blink is fair, but weird to be talking about TSSF in this thread. Turnstile isn’t on the tour with them, as far as I know they’re only on EU dates.
Was I supposed to know that? Saw a tour with them and asked a question. If they’re not touring with them then good
Wasn’t calling you out! Sorry! Just didn’t want the convo to get too derailed, at least in here, when it didn’t have much to do with Turnstile.
It's kind of funny to be talking about TSSF being problematic (in the wrong thread) when Blink and Matt Skiba are right there.
Anyway, I came to this thread to talk about how excited I am for Turnstile. My kid is under two, but loves listening to Glow On, and I'm excited for other kids to learn about Turnstile through this tour. My wife and I are debating going to this as his first concert and leaving before Blink, haha.
the lead singer of the band is making music and touring with a rapist. Why would it be a competition as to who is more problematic? Why is it funny?
Because it’s irrelevant in a Turnstile thread, and this whole website loves to turn a blind eye to anything involving Blink-182.
