I understand the argument for Alien Love Call being the weakest, but it leads into WILD WRLD perfectly, so it gets elevated on that alone.

This post is great. The recommendations in the comments are really warming my heart, from Microwave to an abundance of Australian punk/alternative stuff, it’s lovely to see so much enthusiasm about current music from people who had “given up” on modern music

Decided to give this album another go after seeing the Seth Meyers performance. It’s nearly all I’ve been listening to since Saturday now.

 

On the other end of the scale, think it was r/hardcore (or whatever the main hardcore subreddit is called) that absolutely tore the album to shreds when it came out

 

(directed at r/hardcore, not you)

 

I think Daniel Fang might be my favorite drummer that’s broken out over the past decade. What a drummer. Id be super interested to hear what other stuff he can do. You can tell he’s a diverse player, especially on this new album.
