i have a few playlists that correspond with different times in my life that i listen to on shuffle constantly. one of those three playlists spanning from ages 12-18 takes up at least half of my listening. i also randomly surf youtube and watch music videos all the time. and then i listen to albums the rest of the time.
58.5k songs, 523 gigs, 166.5 days started with turnstile - mystery next 5 were: randy newman - I love l.a. the hold steady - sweet payne the stone roses - breaking into heaven augustana - last mistake devo - blockhead
I'm starting to listen to some of the recs that were dropped in this thread and read up on Angel Du$t, it's 3/5 of the same members as Turnstile? Sounds like a different singer at least, right? What's the story here?
they just announced a new album today toooo Angel Du$t - YAK: A Collection of Truck Songs (October 22, 2021) • forum.chorus.fm
Just went with what is on my phone started with turnstile - mystery Kanye and Jay-Z - HAM Archers of Loaf - harnessed in slums ‘95 Future - Krazy but true Choking Victim - fucked reality Wheeler Walker Jr - redneck shit
modest mouse - dashboard converge - vicious muse the dillinger escape plan - the running board clipse - we got it for cheap (intro) low pros - 100 bottles (ft. travis scott)
its kinda weird that of 10,791 songs another turnstile one was next. but i like that run of 5 tracks.
it always weird me out when the same artist plays back to back in any sort of large-library-shuffle situation
Shuffled: Mutemath - Placed On Hold Weird Al - Mission Statement Frank Turner - Song For Eva Mae Caitlyn Smith - Fly Away Relient K - Mrs. Hippopotmuses
I’ve tried using playlists but they just drive me crazy. I do have one I hit shuffle on in the car if I’m only going a short distance and don’t have time to listen to a full album, but that’s it.
the only playlists I use is my on repeat playlist from Spotify and then my 90-2000’s hip hop and r&b playlist
shuffle?? if I wanted to let my device randomly tell me what song to listen to, I'd put on the radio.
I also skip alien love call. Every other track is a banger I prefer listening to full albums but my indecisiveness gets the best of me sometimes and I’ve made some pretty cool playlists - my “best of x year” compiles my favourite songs each year, and the playlist for my mum is filled with songs I love that she is likely to enjoy
I saw I think Chris Fafalios post about how he has a running playlist called "songs that move me" and he just includes any song that makes him feel something and I thought that was a cool idea. Might get bored and do that sometime.
