Coke Zero is good, Diet Coke is also good

 

People who call this record boring I can sort of get, but also think they need better headphones or speakers.

The intro to “Holiday” alone proves this. There’s so much little melody in the first 23 seconds that definitely gets muddled, but on my noise cancelling cans it’s a different world. It’s a production choice and that’s ok but it really comes alive when you immerse yourself in the sound. And I LOVED that song already.

Hate to say it, but I still think Time and Space is the better record.

This comes pretty damn close though.

 

I definitely think that last lyric is pretty fucking sick though. Turnstile wishing they wrote that.

 

this is the best thing they've done and i dont think it's particularly close

 

This and T+S are both great. This one is probably better but now they’re so close in quality that it doesn’t really matter

 

Right now T&S is a 10 and after a week this is like an 8 orrr maybe a 9 I havent really decided yet.

 

Real Thing thru High Pressure is insane

 

Both records are very close for me. Time (and space) with the new one will tell.

Glow and Nonstop are both 10/10 for me, T+S is a 9

All three records rule

 

There are a few tracks I already find myself skipping like Don’t Play, Underwater Boi, Alien Love Call, and Lonely Dezires but goddamn the highs on this record is so high.

Not sure how to rank this vs Time or Nonstop but I love all three of those records.

 

No ranking necessary. All are great albums in their own right.
