My orange vinyl showed up today. Super happy I grabbed a vinyl since I regret not getting Time & Space when I had the chance.
I'm out of town for another couple weeks and my red copy of Glow On is sitting on my porch in Austin, just baking in the sun :(
Meant to post this on Monday, but I checked out this album after reading Jason's glowing endorsement of it in last week's Liner Notes, and I was BLOWN AWAY at how damn good this is. The hype around it was totally justified and I can't believe I haven't heard of this band before the past couple weeks. Just absolutely stunned at how much I enjoy this album and I didn't even know it's what I wanted from music in 2021. Came completely out of left field for me. My first half of the summer was dominated by The Maine's new album, now it's this album that's getting played on repeat daily. Seeing this band live is now a must for me! Really bummed I missed the preorder for a colored vinyl. If someone happens to find somewhere selling a color variant, please let me know. EDIT: I just saw RevHQ is sold out of the standard black variant. Does anyone know where I can even get a standard one?
I'd check around local shops if I were you, if possible. I don't think there are any official stores selling it online anymore. There's still a couple on amazon from thrid party sellers ($30 or so) and the resale market on discogs is an option but is overpriced as hell at the moment due to the hype around the record. I'd usually say wait it out for a second pressing but they still haven't done a second run of Time & Space.
Late to the party on this band, listened to this album twice at the gym last night. This is indeed great
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll see what I can come up with. I'm hoping with how popular this album is, they'll do another pressing sooner than later. I saw on their official site the black variant didn't have a number, so hoping that means they'll keep pressing it continuously. I checked Discogs already and the prices were what I was expecting. Oh well.
Turnstile – Glow On Turnstile: Glow On 12 No idea about variant, but these are both in stock as of now for reasonable indie record operation prices. Sorry State (second link) is a good operation that I've ordered from before so I can attest they'll do a good job of getting it to you.
It’s been a minute since I really paid attention to heavier music, but this record woke me the fuck up. What are some bands that scratch a similar itch to Turnstile?
