Next year? F that. If they don’t release something new next week I’m burning all their records and moving the f on.
I could see them also wanting to make sure that this next release is truly the one they want to put out. Just based on timing it seems like their label is in no rush to get something out.
The new record will probably have an even more unique push than Glow On did. They'll probably be swinging squarely for the mainstream rock universe, versus the biggest hardcore band in the world. I imagine that's a different game from trying to tack onto their existing success + the rise of hardcore these past few years
I mean, maybe, but if Knocked Loose has proven anything, it's that you don't have to shoot for more mainstream appeal to be huge. I really have no idea what to expect.
My main hunch is that I know KL is going out of their way to stick to their roots, while Turnstile has gone out of their way to expand their realm as much as possible. There are definitely overlaps in how both operate to those ends, but their approaches musically/commercially feel distinct enough. Definitely can't be certain either way though
Yall are funny. (Maybe not in a way I would want to be, but I appreciate the fervor) best non-singles are ✨objectively✨ don’t play and dance off :)
This band is so strategic, their management has done an unreal job with them. Let them get their bag on tour/one off festival shows, I’m sure they’re cooking up something good for us soon.
Time & Space easily bodies Glow On imo but I can’t imagine thinking they’re even remotely losing steam lol. The table next to us at some dumbass bougie happy hour place heard us say the word Turnstile the other day and suddenly they wanted to be best friends. They’re still on top of the world
I just wanted Turnstile to take a long ass break for a while before even the thought of writing and recording new material just for their own physical and mental well beings and that in my opinion is more important.. I mean if they carry on and then go into the studio, write, record and release an new album then go back on the road for another 2 to 3 years then they will be beyond burned out big time. I hope they take an extended break for a while after this Glow On touring cycle finally ends.
