Seeing these guys twice this weekend, at Slam Dunk Midlands and South. A good time will be had.

Any update on their new album? Saw they tweeted that they were recording back in December so I'm surprised not to have heard anything yet.

They were incredible both days. Ending on Take My Head was fantastic and the song from the EP was brilliant live. Injecting more pace into the set with those two and Cutting My Fingers Off was a great choice.

Every time I've seen them they haven't played Take My Head and that bums me out

Strange, they've played it every time I've seen them since they put out the album.

What is everyone's thoughts on Magnolia? I definitely think PV is the better album by far, but I still really enjoy some stuff off Magnolia.

I liked Magnolia much more before PV dropped. Tbh I probably haven't touched it in over a year.

Magnolia is great. Shiver, Wither, Seedwong, Bloom and Hollow are all fantastic, and Most Of The Time should totally be in their set still, reworked with the new equipment they need for touring.

I revisit it every two months or so and remember how much I loved that album when it got released.

Those are basically all of my favorites from it. I feel like if they reworked some of these songs with their new sound it would sound great.

Definitely good news if it has happened. Only slight issue I have with the band and not having to worry about that would probably put them back inside my top 5 bands.

I remember getting into these guys very early on! I pre ordered the first EP in the 3 different color variants. Oh how their sound has changed since 2011!

I'm pretty sure this isn't true. I just checked all their socials and he's still listed in the band, and his insta still links to @turnoverva in his bio, along with wiki saying he's a member.

Poor choice of phrasing on my part, of course it's an issue, but to ignore semantics and discuss why this isn't a deal breaker for me (partially because I'd like to be able to discuss the music when the new album arrives so this is my one post on the matter):

For the same reason that people still listen to John Lennon music, etc. I'm separating the music from the person. Were he the lead singer or lyricist then maybe that would not be the case, but I enjoy the music regardless of the fact one of the instrumentalists is a shitty person. I'd MUCH rather he wasn't in the band, but he is and whilst I'm not happy about it, to be honest the band's music means too much to me for me to not still listen.

Listening to a song/album doesn't condone an action by a band member. It should make think twice about what happened, and decide if it's someone who deserves your support as fan.

There are way too many examples of artists or band members doing bad things: violence, drug use, sexual assault, just being bad people, etc. Michael Jackson's music is still universally loved, but there was a lot of wrong going on with the that guy personally.

It's hard for people to fully form an opion when they don't personally know the people involved or all the specifics. As long know sexual assault or whatever happened is wrong, no matter what.

why are we putting drug use next to sexual assault and violence?

Because serious drug use can cause people to do stupid things like using money for narcotics instead of taking care of their family, babies born with problems, dangerous driving, and a bunch of stuff like that. There are some major music stars who are gone, died much younger than they should of and so on all because of drug use. I'm not just talking rock stars or people smoking in their basement of whatever. Prince died last year. Kurt Cobain, Bradley Nowell, died leaving behind young kids. There is a very long list.

so are you comparing a mental illness (drug addiction) to assault and abuse???
