Just recently discovered Peripheral Vision thanks to Hoppus and I'm in love. It's been too long since an album by a band I've never listened to has grabbed me like this.

 

I highly recommend Galaxie 500 if you liked the last record.

But yeah, George Washington?

 

I don't see the comparison at all... ha

 

Really? Even Pitchfork described that album as Blink 182 meets Galaxie 500....

And Pitchfork is ALWAYS on point, haha. It doesn't sound like Blink or Galaxie 500... I just don't hear it, but maybe it's an apt description.

 

Hey, they are the most trusted name in music. ;)

I mean, clearly a dreamy indie rock vibe is on this record. Referencing Galaxie 500, who is synonymous with that sound, seems rather astute to me.

 

To me it's The Cure meets Balance & Composure if anything.

Galaxie 500 is awful, by the way. I listened through a handful of songs and couldn't get through any of them, haha.

So I’m still obsessed with Peripheral Vision. Any suggestions for other albums/bands that have a comparable sound?

Citizen sort of.. title fight hyperview gets lumped in with them but I think they are very different.. still similar production

 

So yall just willing to forget this bc you really like a band? C'mon we're better than this.

 

I doubt anyone's forgotten about it. Everyone's got their own line to draw.

 

Intrapersonal is underrated. My favorite on Peripheral Vision by far.

Yeah, dude is emotionally abusive. I was always raised to believe that emotional abuse is just as damaging as physical or sexual abuse. I have also been told that these guys will steal gear and weed from opening bands.
