I wish they had done a full album that was the Blue Dream EP sound. I really like Peripheral Vision, and their first EP is still a good listen on occasion. I find I go back to Good Nature and Magnolia less often.
I dig the style on GN for what it was but I could use something with a bit more of that shoegazey PV feel to it, heck or even just something completely out of left field would be cool to hear.
I disliked GN for a long time but oddly enough, seeing the songs live last fall did it for me. Dunno what changed, haha. But I love it now
I think PV is the essential Turnover album, but I love GN. Any sort of outdoor activity becomes 100% more fun when you listen to GN while doing it. Swimming or hanging out at the beach? Put on GN. Hiking? Put on GN.
Tracklist was pulled from ASCAP so if it’s wrong, blame them :P Number On The Gate was the track they were playing on their last few tours so I would assume that’s probably the single.
I could be wrong, but I remember in the last two album cycles, RFC would release the initial single + pre-orders/etc before it hit streaming. It might've been the last record but I remember waiting a few days for one of the singles to hit streaming platforms.
I listened to Good Nature again today and I liked it more than I remembered. I think the guitar tones (?) in the last few songs aren’t my thing/turned me off it in comparison to previous albums. I am curious what they will sound like next.
