Yea that's true. It's way better than something like Knuckle Puck or whoever. I do like it, I just listened to PV first and so going back and listening to Magnolia is kind of weird because of how different it is, so I haven't done that much. PV also took me a few listens before it stuck, so I should probably actually stick with it a little more. Seedwong is definitely a jam though.
I thought the EP was just Peripheral Vision b-sides. Was I wrong about that? Maybe I just assumed because of how similiar they sounded.
huh, i can see that with Change, but Humblest of Pleasures is just as catchy as this new song. love the falsetto first chorus.
Agreed, it's a good album and Will Yip did a good job capturing their sound as a good record for spring or fall. Definitely above their peers at the time
the write up on the preorder page makes it seem like this will be more varied than PV, but its their job to hype it up, so we'll see.
Pretty sure it was @Drew Beringer who reviewed magnolia and gave it a really high score. That review was why I checked that record out and I was really impressed. At that time I wasn't really listening to new bands but that album really stuck with me.
Impressed by that statement relative to other statements from bands whose members have done horrible things. Might actually check this band's stuff out now. I never really got into them and then when that stuff came out about the guitarist I was mostly just glad I didn't have yet another band to be disappointed in.
