This album is great. Some called it “background music”. Maybe that’s what is it but it’s some pretty sweet background music. I had it on and my wife came down the stairs and immediately started dancing. Makes it a winner for me.
Where I’m at right now is not really seeing a future where I come back to this record much at all, but will probably playlist 4-5 tracks that I like enough and wouldn’t mind hearing coming up on shuffle occasionally. Just really cannot hang with more than a few of these songs in a row before wanting to move on
Love the title track, Ain’t Love Heavy, and the closer. I could do without the Stone Station tracks and Fantasy. Cut those and it’s a solid, more easily digestible record
Thought they were good last night but it was hard to enjoy from a combo of hating the House of Blues layout, them not being able to hold the crowd with their new stuff, and annoying people talking all around and loudly complaining. Selfishly I hope they do a smaller run on the next tour, I want to see them at like bottom lounge. But whatever still was cool, I think the new songs sounded good live and honestly are very dance-able songs. And Yumi Zouma rocks, never heard of them before this tour and they are such a cool vibe
So now as it stands PV: Sad boi GN: Tropical sad boi Altogether: Night time sad boi MITW: Disco sad boi
Idk I disagree that anything after PV is really sad boy. I guess Altogether and MITW are debatable but Good Nature is a straight up happy album, like maybe one of the most positive mindset albums I’ve ever heard
Revisiting this a few months later, I can’t say I’d go back to this one often. Cool album but ultimately I’m just not into it’s spacey/psychedelic vibe that much
this album is boring. this band fell off after good nature. really sad because peripheral vision is amazing and good nature is basically if turnover wrote an AGBPOL record.
I definitely think it’s a mood kinda album so maybe I just wasn’t in the right headspace for it when I re-listened
This is really one of those albums that I truly love, but I also fully understand why someone could think it was awful and boring. But idk for me it makes me just wanna dance and vibe
I really want them to do a tour of small rooms where they clearly advertise they're only playing from Altogether and this album so I can go enjoy them live with like minded people
The band needs to go back to writing cooler riffs, it’s like after they kicked out Dewey from Malcom In The Middle, their guitar game has been slacking
I’ve been listening to their whole catalog on shuffle lately and I’ve been enjoying the new songs a lot more mixed in with everything else.
