Every time I try to put this on I wind up super bored and just switching to something else. Really bumming me out
Vinyl shipped tonight and the download link is active now, so maybe I'll listen in a little bit here!
Almost through my first listen (keep getting interrupted at work) and I'm really liking this. I've been listening to BN almost exclusively this week, and Good Nature is a nice change.
Preordered from their Bandcamp cuz it was super cheap ($7!) and just got an email saying it's being released now. Can't wait to listen tonight!
Tracking shows my vinyl arrived in my city this afternoon, so I'm hoping it will be waiting for me when I get home from work tomorrow.
Pretty fun listen but wish it had a little more variety. More diverse than the last album I think but not sure it'll be as memorable, still gets pretty same-y. That said, super natural, curiosity, and Bonnie are career highlights.
It sounded same-y when I first listened but after listening to it all week I'm starting to hear all the variations.
i guess the same thing happened to me after peripheral vision came out. the chorus in sunshine type may be my favorite. at least it's starting out at quite enjoyable and not "not bad."
I'm surprised and a bit bummed I slept on this band, really like what I've been hearing. The new album drops this Friday, yeah?
Yeah this is great working music. Gonna be a good day at work....closing with a Future concert leggooo
Forgot to post that I got my deluxe vinyl with the photobook last friday and holy crap its beautiful. I really love the photography they used for it. Also the variant itself is beautiful and I love this record so far. Easily in my top 3 this year so far. Only things in its way are BN, Paramore and maybe Circa or Citizen when they come out
About to finish my first listen. My primary reaction is that I already enjoy this more than PV. It's a mood-lifter of an album for sure. The bass grooves on every song, vocals perfectly buried in the mix and I love these harmonies. You can also tell the lyrics come from a wiser place, especially "Curiosity" which makes me want to drop everything, live clean, and tell my friends I love them. Seems like this album centers around themes of living mindfully (without filtering your experience with substances or unnecessary anxieties), appreciating nature, and casting your doubts to the wind to fully immerse yourself in each passing moment. I think I needed an understated, matured, and honest album like this. Came at a perfect time.
