Is anybody here going to one of these? I'm dying for info, and being from the UK also, there's no chance I can get in on anything like this.
I'll probably be at the Boston one, never been to something like this and really enjoying the songs so far so definitely considering it
*bats lashes* Pleaseeee hahaha. No yeah, that'd be really interesting I think, providing people didn't talk over it loads. I don't know, I've never been to one, I'm not sure how it goes haha!
I'm glad there isn't. We have two strong songs and I don't want to know any more before I hear it. Knowing the first two tracks already is enough.
Put on Peripheral Vision this morning for the first time in two weeks. I still get blown away by Cutting My Fingers Off halfway through.
Idk if this record can touch that one, too early to tell but damn the vocal melodies are low on these singles which sort of makes it feel emotionless... we will see maybe in context it will make sense
i like the laid back style of these first two songs. i dont need anything angsty, just give me some chill summer night music and im good. just checked, and PV is my most listened to album since 2015. Probably only because all my pinegrove listening is spread evenly between cardinal, audiotree sessions, everything so far, and elsewhere, haha.
See I thought PV was a good album and showed potential to make something great in the future. I was hoping, and still am, that this would be better.
i'm really glad that they're going for a more optimistic nostalgia vibe this time to contrast with the brokenhearted nostalgia of PV. another album about being hollow would kill me
And I don't want to go Outside, Don't want to make it home Tonight, If it's not you in my heart, I don't want to carry it on.
I'm glad it sounds like they're going for more of a different side of the same coin sound with this album. Sound like it's going to be a great counter-point to PV
I'm fully behind Super Natural. That song gives me the best vibes. Sunshine Type is good but I'm hoping it grows on me more. I think this album could easily live up to PV for me.
I've been listening to the new songs non stop and really enjoying, I think the vocals fit the vibe of the instrumentals really well (although vocals sounded really boring/bad in the live video I saw). Also these songs are really fun and easy to play on guitar for anyone who's curious. If all goes as planned I'll be in here tomorrow providing some hot takes from the Boston premiere
Yeah, just for Supernatural I believe, I didn't really like the vocals on the audiotree session either so maybe it's just me haha
