Rad that they did a song with Brendan Yates. Haven't been a huge fan of Turnover's recent output, but always optimistic about a new release from them.

It’s neat that a band wants to fluidly move through genres, but as a person who liked eras of their outputs I just think this trippy disco beat sound is not for me. Oh well.

Death Touches Us, From the Moment we Begin to Love Supporter

That was definitely unexpected. I haven't really followed them since the Magnolia / Peripheral Vision days. But yeah that single was not my cup of tea. I'll still give the album a shot but....

The cover looks like a bunch of rupees from the Legend of Zelda haha.

    Just here for the comments

Good Nature was/is one of my favorite albums by them, but I haven't connected with much else since.

Album cover isn’t my favorite but I’m really hoping I’ll enjoy this record. These dudes have come a long way and while I share the same sentiment with a lot of people about PV being their pinnacle, but I’m open to listening to the record and hoping it resonates with me.

They went from an instant vinyl preorder to “I’ll stream it sometime” kind of band for me.

This isn’t doing anything for me unfortunately but they have a very dedicate fan base so hopefully they’ll enjoy it.

Agreed. Good Nature was a great follow up to PV. Their best two albums right there.

I gave up on this band. I'll still listen to this new album but there will be no expectations

I like that single, at least they went full on with it, and well I also tend to agree PV and GN are their top, they're possibly catering to a bit different community now hahh, but I don't mind.

I get it, PV is the goat. And while I dropped off after that, I'm stoked to see Brandan on this and that it looks like they're truly going after making music they enjoy.

Whenever I return to them, I pretty much only listen to Magnolia - Blue Dream - Peripheral Vision, but it's been very fun to watch their progression.

I kinda wish they just changed their name as this is nothing like, Magnolia, Blue Dream or Peripheral Vision. Those three showed progression and evolution with their sound, but if you listened to a track randomly from those three you had the sense that it was the same band.

Good Nature was a gigantic disappointment in my mind and this only continues the devolution. Big 0 for 3 with the new singles.

Feels like they leaned even more into their sound with this. Feels like they wrote exactly what they wanted. Really digging the new songs, this coming from someone who didn't like much from Good Nature on.

So what? ;D a band can do whatever they want and it's not easy to start fresh with a new name, if that group of people believes that it's what Turnover grew into, then so be it - at least you could still go see them live with a possibility of hearing the old tunes if you're not a fan of the new direction. New name means they'd play the new ones only as well (though even if they did, they could still not want a name change).
