It's also perfectly acceptable to put on when you're around other people, definitely a go to for when friends are over or even if parents want you to play music.
PV is a classic, no skip record personally. Rated very fairly. GN and Altogether have me snoozing half the time I try listening to them. maybe like an EP of good songs between the two.
Yeah, the way I describe it is Good Nature is a vibe album. You put it on to vibe. It's very similar to all of the records AGBPOL have released.
Running their discography again and I am floored by PV. It has aged very well! What a strong opener, too.
1) Peripheral Vision 2) Good Nature 3) Magnolia 4) Altogether is my ranking. I first saw them on the Magnolia tour so I have love for that record, but it was eclipsed by their next two releases.
I wouldn’t mind hearing them expanding on the PV sound, I’m sure they’d do something a little more interesting with the lite new wave influences these days. But as far as ranking, I don’t go back to that record even half as much as the two that followed it — and I like that one a whole lot
PV and GN are about the same for me. Altogether fell flat IMO, but super excited for this new record. Anticipating some beach vibes, hell let them go full doo-wop
Love PV and GN, unfortunately Altogether is still a bit of a snooze for me outside of like three songs
The only fault of Altogether for me is how tracks 2-5 all sound pretty much exactly the same. It’s a vibe I like so I don’t really think about it when the album’s playing through, but Ceramic Sky always feels like a relief. I honestly feel that way about PV too though — Take My Head is such a needed break by the time you get to it
