I painted a ton of lattice & the deck for my mother's pool in her backyard last summer, Altogether a staple in non-headphone outdoor listening for me

 

PV was such a sonic sweet spot for me. No doubt my most-listened to album since 2016.

 

I like PV.

 

Good Nature and Altogether are both solid records... but PV is in a class of it's own IMO.

 

Id argue each of the three is their own vibe and feel

 

Yeah I still think PV pales compared to their last two. Altogether seems really slept on

 

I like the tones of PV much more. I like the sound of Blue Dream EP even more than that. Just find it more interesting. Band changed their sound and tone quite a bit so it’ll makes sense people have different pretences.

 

When I caught them with Men I Trust they were so good, played Altogether, 2 or 3 GN, like 5 PV crowd was awful about it lol idk I don't seem to see the radical shift in sound as fans of turnover make it out as. Good band making good albums

 

I do distinctly remember a lot of people being really bummed they dropped Cutting My Fingers Off on that tour since it was such a set highlight before. I get that. But also there were a lot of people complaining that Austin sat down during the shows which felt like a very silly thing to care about

This is perfect. I have a hard time listening to Altogether during the day. and GN is perfect summertime chill album.

 

PV is still my favorite, but I love Altogether and was very impressed (and a little surprised) with how good those songs sounded live. GN never fully clicked but there are a few songs I love.

 

AT also screams winter to me.

 

Are we approaching new album time soon?

 

Altogether is definitely a night time record. I listened to it last week when I was driving through the mountains at night and it clicked even more.

Don’t drive through the mountains though. Just waiting til night works fine y’all.
