Good Nature is really calming for me. It's not the kind of record that occupies much room in my head, but it's something I can put on that's easy to listen to and refreshing.
Honestly can’t believe there was a time I didn’t love Good Nature. I really like that Austin started writing vocal parts that were, in a lot of places, catchy less for the melody and more for the rhythm he sang them in. I feel like that continues a lot here but he also brought back some of that immediate PV catchiness too
I'm a big fan of Austin's vocal writing, his range is fairly limited so he makes the most of it with really catchy and interesting phrasing
This is good but would be so much better if it was released in late May so I could listen to it while drinking whiskey on my patio on a warm summer evening
Magnolia was peak Turnover for me. Peripheral Vision was ok but anything after that I have not really enjoyed.
Heads up Chicago peeps: I went to Shuga Records to buy this earlier today and they gave me two free tix to the show at the Metro next month, and a lil keychain. Idk if you have to buy the record to get them but it looked like the guy had some more and there’s at least one more copy of the record at the store that I saw
Uhh... They're playing Much After Feeling at the Whole Foods I work at. Does that mean they've "made" it?
I don't like this as much as Good Nature. (Still alright though) Good Nature > Peripheral Vision > Altogether. Change my mind.
Im bummed that I'm not liking this record as a whole as much as I'd have hoped cuz I love this band. Though I'll be damned if Still In Motion isn't one of the best songs they've ever released. I just wish the song was like 2 minutes longer because its so good.
I should listen to this band more, they seem up my alley but I find their songs very samesy On a random note, my ex tour managed and played with MUNYA while she opened for Turnover in Europe recently
I was looking at tickets for their tour (at least in Chicago) and $34 seems a bit pricey to see them. I've seen artists who I think are bigger for less money and I feel like that is a lot of money for a band that hasn't really grown in size over the past couple of years. I know it is a co-headliner with Men I Trust, but still.
I wanted to see them with Men I Trust but yeah I can’t and saw the prices. For both of them I guess I understand a slightly higher price but it equated to like 50 quid for where I was and I couldn’t believe it
