This attitude is so funny. I remember when PV first came out and they played nothing but that and pop punk bros were mad about it.
I’m obsessed with this record now. It’s pulling me in!! At first I thought it was just okay but the bass and guitar lines are so infectious
I love Valley of the Moon so much, I realize there's not much goin on there but it just makes me wanna sip on a drink and float away lol
Not totally digging this so far, which is a bummer after absolutely loving PV or GN. the opener is incredible and the closer is pretty cool but nothing else draws me in too much. Will have to keep listening
I do enjoy this album. I’ve listened to it twice through and I love the first half but I feel like it loses momentum around the half way point.
I feel like they could have moved something like Number on the Gate to offset it a bit for me, but yeah Plant Sugar does a decent job.
Plant Sugar was my least favourite of the pre-release tracks but I love it in the context of the album
I haven't found this record to be very special out of a few select moments, especially compared to the other highs in their discog, but I can't believe some of the hot takes in the p4k review that just came out.
Yeah, saying that Good Nature was a huge step up and that this is a step back is a weird take. They also don’t like the trumpet/saxophone parts, which are some of my favorite parts here.
Yeah, the comments on the horns completely threw me, those are far and away the best parts of the record. And Temporary Love.
Kind of read like the reviewer didn't like whatever comment they made in an interview about "making it accessible" or whatever, but I mean whatever I don't care because I love it
