Turning Red (March 11, 2022; Domee Shi) Movie

The next Disney • Pixar flick comes from Domee Shi, who directed the incredible short Bao.

Let's hope this one gets a proper theatrical release, and just not shoved off to Disney+.

i'm looking forward to this for the most part but damn, another pixar film that, like soul, has a poc taking the form of an animal or other creature for a large chunk of the film? jesus, hope they explain it well at least

 

At :34 seconds, there is a girl aat a desk with a white (or grey) Dexcom Sensor (for T1D) on her arm.

Its making good news for those in the T1D forums, being represented.

Apparently, someone in the making of the movie (?) has a daughter with T1D.

Making waves in the diabetes world now, as there are 2 girls in the movie (the 2nd was in the bathroom saying OMG, and they both have Dexcom CGM sensors.

We are sensing there is someone behind the scenes making this possible - that is 'in the loop' so to speak.

 

Really goes to show how a little bit of representation can go a long way.

The defense that they are saving the theatrical experience with Marvel movies falls completely apart if they turn around and do shit like this
