Tulsa King (Paramount+) TV Show

Digging this a lot figured I'd make a thread. New Taylor Sheridan joint where he's co-showrunning with The Sopranos' Terence Winter. Starring Sylvester Stallone.

A New York mafia capo gets released from prison after a 25 year sentence and is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma to set up an operation there. Fish out of water crime drama with comedic elements. Its very reminiscent of SoA imo. Kind of stupid, but very fun. Season finale is on Sunday 1/8. Already renewed for a second season. Probably Paramount+'s most successful standalone original series that isn't a part of a larger franchise thus far.

 

Very fun show, wife and I have been enjoying it. Classic Sly.

That was a good season finale. Can't wait for next season. Syl put on a fun performance, he was great.

Anyone seen the first episode of season 2 yet? Thank goodness for the recap first but first episode of season 2 hits right out of the gate without missing a beat and Stallone is so damn good in this role, looking forward to the rest of the season!!

Season's been great so far

Writing on the show this 2nd season seems a bit lazier than the 1st season. A bit more filler

 

Agreed but the cast definitely elevate the material and Sly is killing it at the moment

Yeah this most recent episode sent EVERYTHING spiraling out of control! Whew.

 

Also finished the 3 new episodes of new Lioness S2. Thought it was weird Cruz wasn't back but then I remembered the ending of S1 but then saw that she's listed in the credits so I assume she'll be back at some point this season. That'll be a showdown for sure if she still hates Joe.

 

Oh fucking hell 100% agree with u, these next 2 episodes is just gonna be all out warfare!!

 

I am loving the first 3 episodes of Lioness season 2 so far, oh Cruz will show up, probably second half of the season but Zòe Zaldana is honestly putting on an phenomenal performance so far!!

 

Zoe IS the show haha, the way she went off in the 1st or 2nd episode when they tried to tell her who she's recruit as a lioness and she was like nah IM in charge and then at the military base when she went off on the captain? Hahaha. She's killing it 100%.
