Oh weird haha. Didn’t realize we were talking about the same thing. Who knows what those knuckleheads have in store
Nicolas Cage standing in a lagoon with the NYC skyline in the back and it's a trippy crime murder mystery show? yes please
I enjoyed every season. I just don't think any of them have reached the heights of the first. I consider that one a masterpiece.
this would be my ranking, but I would move a few of those greater-than symbols over to between Season 1 & 3 Season 1 just hits on all levels for me
a while back I felt like the cheerleader for Season 2, mainly because there are a few things that I really enjoy about it underneath and surrounded by so much hot garbage, but now I feel like I should go to bat for Season 4. that was a solid season of television.
Damn a Nic Cage season could be awesome. Last one started off pretty good but was a big swing and a miss by the end for me. Would probably rank them 1, 3.............. 2, 4
I enjoyed 4 a lot but it definitely felt a little half baked by the end. Like they had all these great ideas and the mystery was fun and I liked the small tie ins to Season 1, but it just all seemed to end and happen so quickly by the end. I haven't watched 2 and 3, but it feels like the setting for Season 4 was probably about as close as they got to the setting for season 1 in terms of how....idk what the right word is. How heavy it all felt? Like the swampland setting for season 1 just added to the feel of everything so much and the whole winter darkness of Alaska setting was great for that too
I know this isn't exactly the right spot for this, but fuck it I'm excited for whatever this ends up being -->
Boooo. On one hand, I get it. If it was bad then it would tarnish the season as it really *was* magical. Truly.
been rewatching s1 while I'm home for holidays. the perfect moments are still perfect but it's really starting to show its age, some of it is so rough nowadays
If anyone thought the season 1 plot was exaggerated, just look at the recent Epstein files released — holy hell.
Season 2 really struggles with its supporting characters. I felt like season 1 had a few great supporting performances in every episode — they nailed the casting. Now that I’m rewatching season 2, I only really love Colin and Rachel.
And now, re-watching season 2, there’s sex party blackmail. I wonder what Nick’s source material was for the plots of the first two seasons.
